Could we have had anymore fun than working with Jenny Bullock, James Newell, Catherine Johnson and the rest of the Daggerwing Team…? I think not. The pharmaceutical project gave us a CA tour in 4 days; Tahoe, Carmel, Point Reyes and Petaluma. Phew. With 4 am. call times and a teething baby, it meant little sleep and intense creative work. We saw the moon go up at night and down at the break of dawn. A majestic bald eagle sat in a tree top overlooking the quiet waters of Tahoe when we were shooting there. And to top things off, while shooting at Limantour beach, we saw whales quite close to us. We had a great crew and it was really fun to collaborate with so many talented people, and we sure hope the NY team makes it back soon for another CA experience. Retouching and beautification done by Sugar Digital and Jellysquare. When I got home my little girl had started walking. Life is magic at times.
The CA Tour.
New Tim Mitchell agency portfolios are en route to California for West Coast portfolio showings. Tim Mitchell Managing Director, Bethany Duffy, also known as super woman extraordinaire, spent many long hours selecting images with Tim, finding the beautiful portfolio cases and printing portfolio pages. Can’t wait to see them!

The Brazilian team came to town.
My designer Washington Theotonio, who has designed all my websites and more, came with Leslie Foresta and Viridiana Bertolini from the innovation team at Globo TV in Brazil to research entertainment companies. Washington and I met in art school around 1995, and after graduation he has worked at Saatchi & Saatchi, DM9DDB and now at Globo TV. He is exceptionally talented and truly a pioneer in online media and innovation.
We had a blast sightseeing and visiting some fun places like ILM where my husband was working, and the E.T. in the background is the original one!
Joining Forces With the Best: Now Represented by Tim Mitchell!
I am very excited to announce that I am now represented by Tim Mitchell. I am honored and proud to be a part of his roster of such extraordinary talent and to partner with someone who has such a strong vision and a true passion for photography.
To top off the good news, my good friend Alison McCreery is joining the agency to represent Tim Mitchell on the West Coast. 2014 is off to a great start!
Lake Tahoe shoot for KQED TV.
These images are from behind the scenes in Tahoe for a KQED TV produced documentary called: Lake Tahoe: Can We Save It? I was so excited to shoot for KQED, because it is my all time favourite radio station that I can listen to all day long, and Tahoe is such an incredibly beautiful place to be shooting. KQED is PBS member television station based in San Francisco, CA.
I just got back from attending another amazing FotoWorks event in New York with my friend Joson.
After 32 incredible meetings with art directors, art buyers, editors and a lot of work and fun, we closed the last evening with some jumping pictures, of course. If you ever need to add some spice to an image; just make your subjects jump.
My Photo Muses: Eva & Inès.
In 2008, a long lost cousin from Norway moved to San Francisco and I met my two nieces, Eva and Inès, for the first time. When these two amazing girls came into my my life, it was as if we were re-living a magical and mysterious story from another time together. It felt as if our souls had been searching for each other, and now we had so much fun to catch up with!
Eva & Inès never cease to inspire me, they make magic happen, I just have to be ready with my camera.
Kaya, my lil’ nugget.
Kaya: My new adventure.
My baby girl Kaya was born on 7th April 2013. Photographing her wide innocent eyes takes me back to the days I was learning photography, when it was all a big, magic adventure. My eyes were filled with the same sense of awe and excitement as her baby eyes are now.
I’m so excited my best friend has finally arrived, I feel like I waited my whole life for her, from before I was born, and now we’re not going to miss a beat together. She is my fairy tale come true.
Facebook, Google, Evernote and Sequoia Capital for The Times of London
Had a fun assignment for The Times of London to work with the technology correspondent, Murad Ahmed, on a story that took us to Facebook, Google, Evernote and Sequoia Capital.
